I took a trip with my children to the Washington DC last spring. Since there are so many tourists, so it is hard to find a parking spot around parks. We tried to walk from our hotel to different places except the last day because it was really tired for children after walking for a few days. We tried to wake up very early in the morning and drive the car around. We did able to find a meter parking pot which is cost 25 cents for 7 minutes. I suddenly realize that the charge is more expansive than in NYC. It usually costs 25 cents for 10 minutes in NYC. How can be, NYC usually the most expansive place around the world?
New York City, especially downtown Manhattan, it is impossible to find a meter parking spot during the weekdays. Instead of driving there, I took subways there for more than one year. Recently, since my mom has joint pain on one of her leg, it is really hard to her to walk around. No other options, I have to drive her there to see the doctor, guess what? The parking meter fee had been raised. It is 50 cents for 10 minutes! Indeed, NYC is still most expansive city in the world.
